Manual QA complete segment not editable, if segment is opened for editing

This probably is the case, since the usability enhancements with the right column: You are not able to edit the manual QA (complete segment), if the segment is opened for editing. Even if you close the segment it stays non-editable, until you select another segment.

It should always be editable for the currently selected segment.
