Multiple Problems fixed: add newline or tab when with selected text in editor lead to an error. Multiple newlines were added in some circumstances in multiline segments with to long content. Optionally overwrite the trailing whitespace when newlines are added automatically.

Using the add special char buttons (newline, tab, nbsp) on selected text was leading to an JS error
Multiple newlines were added due to much recursion of the automatic add newline functionality for to long segments
It is not desired that there is trailing whitespace in the line before an additional newline was added automatically. This behaviour should be configurable.
