Requirement

In some situations it is necessary, to add whitespace to a segment, that is not present in the source (for example a non-breaking space befor a colon in French).

Implementation

The user will be able to enter following 3 whitespace characters into a segment:

• A non-breaking space by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+Space
• A tab by pressing TAB
• A Windows line break by pressing SHIFT+ENTER

For all three additional icons will be added to the same area, where the segment-length check shows the current number of chars. A tooltip on the icons shows the keyboard shortcuts.

The corresponding whitespace tag will be added to the segment.

The feature can be deactivated via config, it is activated by default. Yet it can only be active, if the tag check is disabled for whitespace tags. The documentation column of Zf_configuration has to show this.
