Description
Task-specific TM, automatically cleaned on workflow end
In many workflow scenarios it does not make sense, that the created translations are immediately saved into the assigned TM, because they are not final and should not be used for other translations yet.
Yet it makes sense to save them to the TM to benefit from internal fuzzy matches and have them available in the concordance search.
Solution with NEC-TM
Task-specific tag with NEC-TM
With NEC-TM the best way to solve this is to create a task-specific "tag" in NEC-TM .
All segments that are saved in a task will always be saved with this tag to NEC-TM. Independent of the fact, if the check-box "write to TM" is checked in the language resources task association.
When querying for matches in a task when NEC-TM is used, an on-the-fly created language resource that queries only for segments with the task-specific task is added and queried for this task (for developers: or another technical solution; important is, that in the match panel it appears as independent language resource).
Check-box "Save to language resource on workflow end"
As tag id in NEC-TM the translate5 taskguid will be used with the prefix "taskguid_" and as name the translate5 taskname.
If the task in translate5 is renamed, the tag in NEC-TM must be renamed to.
To be able to implement this, we need a new API call for NEC-TM: Add tag X to all segments, that have tag Y.
Client-specific tag
translate5 will create a client-specific tag in NEC-TM (if it does not exist already) and assign this client-specific tag to all segments of a task in the following situations
- on "save to language resource on workflow end"
- if "write to language resource" checkbox is active
The tag id in NEC-Tm is the translate5 client guid with the prefix "clientguid_" and as tag name the translate5 client name.
If the client in translate5 is renamed, the tag in NEC-TM must be renamed to.
Predefine based on client
For assigning a language resource for reading it is already possible to define, if this language resource should always be automatically assigned for a certain client.
For "write to language resource" and for "Save to language resource on workflow end" these options will be added too.
Deleting segments, when a task is deleted
If a task is deleted and segments have only the tag of the taskguid assigned (and maybe in addition the general system tag from the translate5 configuration) these segments will be deleted from NEC-Tm together with the task to avoid orphaned segments.
To achieve this, a new NEC-TM API call will be necessary: Delete all segments, that only are assigned to tags x, y, z - and to no other tags.
Adding and deleting tags
In the configuration panel of translate5 a NEC-Tm panel will be added.
It will list all tags, that exist in NEC-TM with ID and name. The list will be filterable.
It will be possible to delete tags and to add new ones.
If a tag is deleted, a warn message appears, that together with this tag all segments will be deleted, that are only assigned to this tag (and no other) and to the tag(s) in the system config (if defined).
