Optionally remove single tags and bordering tag pairs at segment borders

Details

    • Critical
    • For XLF imports the behaviour how and which surrounding tags are ignored is changed! See the details below.
    • Hide
The behaviour how tags are ignored from XLF (not SDLXIFF!) imports has been improved so that all surrounding tags can be ignored right now. The config runtimeOptions.import.xlf.ignoreFramingTags has therefore been changed and has now 3 config values: disabled, paired, all. Where paired ignores only tag pairs at the start and end of a segment, and all ignores all tags before and after plain text. Tags inside of text (and their paired partners) remain always in the segment. The new default is to ignore all tags, not only the paired ones.

    Description

Single tags that are at the start or the end of a segment should be optionally drawn out of the segment.

Same is true for paired tags at the end or start of a segment, that close directly after they open or have only other tags inside them.

If this is done should be configurable on system, client and task-import level. The default should be: Draw them out of the segment.
