Summary

The translate5 admin and PMs should be to maintain a list of strings in the configuration of translate5. This list may have a size of 100.000 strings. Each string in the list should be protected as internal tag, if it occurs in the segment during import.

Maintenance of the string list

• It should be possible to view and edit the list as grid in the UI.
• The Grid should be filterable.
• It should be possible to add, edit or delete entries from the grid
• It should be possible to replace the complete list with an xlsx file, that is uploaded. If so, only the column A of the first table the xlsx file will be evaluated without a header line.

Protection within translate5

The strings in the list are protected as tag during the import (after Okapi processing) and the protection is removed during the reexport (before Okapi processing).

If easy, the protection should be done also for sdlxliff, Star Transit and bilingual CSV, else only for xliff 1.2 (all native file formats like docx, xml, etc. are xliff 1.2 at this stage of the process).

The original string, that is protected, should be visible as tag content (in mouse over and full tag view) and the visual plug-in should recognize it as text to be found in the linking of the visuals.
