Problem

Searching in TM Maintenance for entries with quotes will lead to an empty result.

abstract sample:
entries in TM

• without quotes
• with "quotes"

when you search for quotes, you will find both entries. Searching for "quotes" will find no entry. Expected would be that entry #2 will be found.

how to reproduce?

Import TRANSLATE-5052.tmx as new T5Memory language resource.
Go to TM-Maintenance and select this resource. No search for quotes will show 2 entries, but search for "quotes" will show no entry.

btw. searching for &quot:quotes leads to the wanted result. So it looks like some encoding is missing.

additional note

after importing the above tmx the second entry has a backslash before the second quote. and it look like this:

A segment with "quotes\".

this is weird !?!
this is no problem. I did change the entry in the TM manually to see if backslash is possible. Just forgot that I did that.

Solution

search for entries with quotes should find the result with quotes.
