Problem

currently the progress is based on the count of finished segments. When you have mixed very short and very long segments, this may lead to confusing results. Therefore it would be good that progress should be word-based. Or it should be possible to select if progress should be segment- or word-based.

how to reproduce

Import the attached file TRANSLATE-5053.xml
when you translate the first 9 segments, progress ist 90%. But the last segment is as long as the sum of all other segments. So for a word-based progress, you only have finished 50% of the work.

Solution

Make progress word-based or even better introduce a config where you can decide if progress should be segment-based or word-based.
