Problem

If the char count bar is activated below the open segment or the segment breaks to 2 lines after initially being just one line in Chrome on ubuntu the spell-check markup is hardly visible. Maybe in some browsers not visible at all (at least this is my conclusion of some user feedback). Solution

Make it visible. Probably by increasing some height somewhere.
