Problem

On tbx import, same ID from tbx will be merged with same ID in TermPortal which is wanted behaviour (tbx standard).

However, users may not be aware of this behaviour, as entries will be merged no matter which merge options are selected. And tbx from external tools like Glossary Converter may use same IDs for different tbx with different term entries which leads to entry merge on import where this is unwanted.

Solution

In the TermCollection create window add an information for the user:

"Info: Term entry IDs from imported tbx files will be used as IDs in translate5, too."

Add to the tbx import window:

Green area:

"Important: Term entry IDs from imported tbx files will be used as IDs in translate5, too. If IDs already exist in the TermCollection, the imported same-ID entry will be merged with the existing one."

If possible add a selection: "Ignore tbx term entry IDs" Tooltipp: "Ignoring the term entry IDs will import entries as new or merge them with existing ones according to the selected options below."
