      PROBLEM
      A Placeable can not reference a single opening tag being replaced by a <it> or <ph> XLIFF tag like

      <it id="2" ctype="x-FIELD" pos="open">&lt;FIELD name=&quot;example&quot;&gt;</it>

      SOLUTION
      Make a tag like in the example above referencable with //FIELD/@name

      FRONTEND-TESTS
      There is testdata for the feature in the usual place: 3-segments-with-placeables-en-de.xlf
