This kind of tags are created when the TRADOS user adds formatting tags via an editor feature in Trados calles Quick Insert. For certain source files e.g. MS Word the tags are not even distinguishable in Trados editor, so that the user can not know whether a bold tag has been inserted from the source segment or from the Quick Insert feature, in the SDLXLIFF however, those tags look different, as described above.

Solution

Allow a certain list of "textual" IDs such as bold, italic (see sample SDLXLIFF added) and make translate5 handle them
