Problem

PDF x4 and x3 versions frequently create problems when converting them for the visual due to specific advanced PDF features for print purposes.

we created a check, that detects those versions and warns the user in the task event log about them.

Better would be, to automatically down-save them to lower PDF versions, so that users will get what they want without manual interaction.

Solution

If a PDF version x3 or x4 was detected, use e. g. Ghostscript or something else to down-save the version to the highest suitable PDF version.

Write an info message about this into the event log.
